The valve cover gasket is responsible for sealing the top of the engine and keeping oil contained. When these gaskets begin to fail, you may notice a burning oil smell when the engine is hot, along with oil seepage that leaves a greasy film down the engine block or cylinder head.
Proper sealing keeps the valvetrain and lifters fully lubricated, prevents leaks, and maintains a clean engine bay.
This replacement gasket set includes both the valve cover gasket as well as the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets—since the intake manifold must be removed to access the valve cover, replacing these components together ensures a reliable repair.
