Oil filter kit with filter cartridge and housing seal, designed to remove contaminants and support reliable engine lubrication.
$17.97
The 057 115 561M oil filter kit removes harmful contaminants from circulating engine oil before they reach critical internal components. Clean oil supports reliable lubrication of the engine’s moving parts and helps reduce premature wear.
Over time, an oil filter captures dirt, carbon deposits, and other debris. As the filter reaches the end of its service life, its ability to protect the lubrication system decreases. Therefore, replace the oil filter during every scheduled oil change.
Engine oil carries contaminants away from internal components, while the filter traps those particles before the oil circulates again. A fresh filter helps protect bearings, valvetrain components, turbocharger parts, and other precision surfaces from abrasive contamination.
This kit also includes the required filter-housing seal. Replacing the seal during filter service supports a proper housing connection and helps prevent oil seepage after installation.
Replace the oil filter at the manufacturer-recommended oil-service interval. Also inspect the lubrication system if you notice:
An overdue oil-change interval.
Dirty, excessively dark, or contaminated engine oil.
Oil residue near the filter housing.
Low oil pressure warnings.
Unusual engine noise associated with inadequate lubrication.
A damaged, flattened, or hardened filter-housing seal.
Always investigate low oil pressure immediately. A filter replacement alone may not resolve an oil-pressure issue caused by a pump, pickup tube, pressure-control component, or internal engine wear.
OE Part Number: 057 115 561 M
Function: Filters contaminants from circulating engine oil.
Kit Contents: Oil filter cartridge and filter-housing sealing gasket.
Direct Fit: Designed to match the original filter housing and service configuration.
Service Item: Replace with every scheduled engine oil change.
Priced Each: One oil filter kit per quantity ordered.
Allow the engine to cool before servicing the oil system. First, drain the engine oil according to the manufacturer’s procedure. Then remove the filter-housing cap and carefully take out the old filter cartridge.
Remove the old housing seal and clean the cap and sealing groove before installation. Lubricate the new seal with a small amount of fresh engine oil, install it in the correct groove, and fit the new filter cartridge. Finally, refill the engine with the specified oil grade and quantity, start the engine, and inspect the filter housing for leaks.
Always verify fitment by VIN before ordering.
